Built in 1881, the Letovsky-Rohret House is an Iowa City Historic Landmark and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The two story wood frame home reflects Greek Revival and Italianate architectural influences, evident in its side gable roof, boxed cornice, tall windows, and full width front porch. Inside, the home's traditional floor plan retains a sense of proportion and character, beginning with an entry foyer and prominent staircase. Separate living and dining rooms feature tall windows that introduce generous natural light. The kitchen occupies the rear of the main level and adjoins a small sunroom. Upstairs, a central landing connects two spacious bedrooms and a full bathroom. A detached one car garage was constructed in 2007. Located in Iowa City's established Northside neighborhood, the property is one block from North Market Square Park and within walking distance of the Northside Marketplace, downtown Iowa City, and University of Iowa Health Care's downtown medical center. Property is being sold in as-is condition. AC is non-functional. Sewer line to city needs to be replaced. Access to the detached garage is provided via easement.
